Most research on infant learning focuses on structured tasks like play or direct interaction, overlooking how learning unfolds during everyday routines. In this digest, we showcase research that used Pupil Core, Pupil Invisible, and Neon wearable eye tracking to study how infants allocate attention across activities like food preparation, free play, and storytelling. The findings reveal what consistently draws infants’ attention, and why it may challenge how we think about early learning.
