Assembly and Supply Chain Engineer

We are seeking an Assembly and Supply Chain Engineer to join our team in Berlin to enhance our existing assembly processes and help build cutting-edge future eye tracking products.

Key Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in hardware assembly, quality control, and supply chain management.

  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills.

  • Can-do demeanor: No task is too small or to large.

  • Proficient in English; German proficiency is advantageous.

Description

You will be primarily working with the Assembly team optimize our manufacturing process. Hands-on assembly work is required to deeply understand the process. You will also be coordinating with the Sales team members on a daily basis to ensure efficient communication about order status, stock, and diagnosis of returns. Assignments include:

  • Sourcing: Efficiently source parts from suppliers, negotiate costs, and manage timelines to prevent delays in assembly and fulfillment.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain precise inventory records and suggest improvements to enhance organizational visibility.

  • Workflow Optimization: Organize the assembly area to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.

  • Process Metrics: Analyze assembly processes and recommend enhancements based on detailed metrics.

  • Design Feedback: Provide insights on hardware design through assembly observations, identifying potential failure points and suggesting design modifications to simplify production and enhance robustness.

  • Diagnostics: Examine returned hardware for repairs, determine root causes of issues, and recommend design changes to improve durability.

  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Notion knowledge base for assembly processes to support team members and speed up the onboarding of new hires.

  • Shipping Coordination: Negotiate shipping rates with providers like FedEx and DHL, and collaborate with operations to monitor shipping costs.

  • Assembly Execution: Assemble Pupil Labs eye tracking devices, maintaining exceptional standards of quality.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
